Pastor Michael Stoner has had almost 30 years of experience in ministry to 3 different churches. He joined Trinity Church United Methodist in July of 2013. During his early career he was a Youth Minister. He has gone on 30 Youth Mission Trips and enjoys working with children. He has a degree in elementary education and student taught second graders before being called by God into the ministry. He feels a strong personal commitment to Youth, Family, and Older Adult Ministries.
His ministry focus is Evangelism. He believes the message of salvation is the greatest and most powerful message any of us have to offer. The church is God’s chosen instrument of change for society and is the hope of the world as we build God’s earthly kingdom one new believer at a time. He has a personal passion for mission having served regularly at Hesed House, Lazarus House, Aurora Soup Kitchen, Local Food Pantry and senior care center.
He comes from a long family history (5 generations) in the Methodist Church. His wife, Jill, is a Teacher at Ranchview Elementary in District #203 Naperville. They have been married for over 30 years and have two sons. Mike, a personal trainer in Edina, Minnesota and Sam, is a senior at University of Kentucky in Lexington majoring in communication and business. Billie Girl, a 9 year-old chocolate Lab, is also part of the Stoner family. Mike and Jill both have 4 siblings and large extended families. The family enjoys keeping physically active with team sports, water sports, gardening, and completing home improvement projects.
